MOBART BEN was a partner in the second episode of the 2016 edition of the docu-reality “Cambio casa, cambio vita!” by Andrea Castrignano.
The episode featured the renovations done to a 110 sq.m apartment in the North-Eastern of Milan, the Lombardy metropolis’ newest place-to-be, crossroads for the latest generation of artisans and other creative spirits
The client is a young thirty year old, with a great love for the Fifties. This then is how, in renovating and choosing furnishings, Andrea Castrignano allowed himself to be inspired by the style and flavour of those fabulous years, with particular attention paid to materials imbued with vintage fascination, such as solid wood and iron, to provide the environment with an industrial-metropolitan mood.
MOBART BEN, with its tailor made production – totally “Made In Italy” – has been selected by Interior Designer as the ideal partner for designing and implementing custom made furnishings. In fact, many of the furnishings adopted carry the Company brand name: the composition of the kitchen – in open-pore finished oak – with which was coordinated the counter and dining table tops, in deep brushed oak with a Dolomia Brown finish. For the doors of the kitchen wall units Andrea Castrignano devised an unusual and original customisation using steel mesh, a typically industrial style.
For the bedroom’s walk-in closet, a closed-pore finish was chosen, with recessed handles carved into the thickness of the front panels, and a colour toning with the wallpaper chosen as backing for the walk-in closet. The guest room closet is in a closed-pore lacquered finish with plain doors featuring a continuous carved groove.
Other interventions instead, involved the bathrooms, in which for both the master and guest bathrooms, under-basin cabinets made with close-pore, lacquered finish were designed. The suspended cabinets are in solid wood, with large and completely extractable drawers, custom-made, with grooved slot-handles for the master bathroom and handle/towel rail in satin-finish steel for the guest bathroom.
This all lends itself to an elegant and refined environment, studied in the most minute detail and highly personalised, able to combine living comfort with contemporary design, allowing for all the client’s requirements.
